Agricultural Mechanics

Students will learn the components of small and large engines, advanced hot and cold metal work, beginning land surveying and building of equipment and structures that can be used.

Safety will be strongly emphasized as well as the ability to work individually and in groups in a successful manner.

Leadership and advanced thinking skills will be stressed to help students to become successful in the work world outside of school.

Agricultural Mechanics develops job skills.

FIRST 9 WEEKS

• Course introduction and safety requirements / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn about careers,income, training,and entrepreneurship available in the field of Ag Mech / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn and understand safety and its importance related to themselves, others, equipment, and the facilities. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn the expectation of employers, appropriate work habits, and what goog citizenship skills are. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn how to select systems and equipment to fit the agricultural job. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn about hydraulics uses in agriculturae and problems and repairs for trouble with systems. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn uses in agriculture for small gas engines and how they operate. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn about electrical, air conditioning, cooling, fuel,air, clutch, tires, wheels, and brake systems. / Individual shop skills
• Students will learn to set up equipment, adjust, operate, and maintain. / Individual shop skill
• Student will learn and demonstrate basic safety, set up, and operation of large metal working tools. / Individual shop skills
