Intro to Agriculture Mechanics

Students will be introduced to all components of agriculture mechanics, metal, hot and cold, plumbing, concrete, electrical, wood work, and basic construction of structures.

Safety will be a major topic that will be taught and be repeated thru out the semester, to insure the students can work safely.

Safe and proper use of hand and power tools will be taught to create a safe worker and a safe work environment for other students in the class.

Leadership will also be discussed and practiced to help develop a well rounded individual.

First 9 Weeks

• Course introduction and discuss FFA / Individual shop skills
• Identification of, tools and safety / Individual shop skills
• Electrical tools and safety / Individual shop skills
• Marking and measuring / Individual shop skills
• Metal working tool identification and safety / Individual shop skills
• Introduction to welding and cutting / Individual shop skills
• Construction fundamentals and terminology / Individual shop skills
• Leadership and citizenship skills / Individual shop skills
• Individual and group project work
