Intro to World Agriculture
Students will learn how
agriculture affects the world economy and the lives of each individual.
Leadership and parliamentary
procedure will be emphasized and how to conduct meeting.
Students will be introduced to
animal, plant, soil, and environmental science.
Shop safety and careers will
be discussed so students will be successful and safe in the shop and future
occupations.
Arc welding and hot metal
work will be introduced and practiced by the student creating entry level
skills to be enhanced in advanced Agriculture courses.
First 9 Weeks
- Introduction, course requirements and
introduction to FFA
- Discuss agricultural careers and general
requirements of each
- Identify proper work habits and citizenship

- Students will learn about local, state,
U>S>, and world agriculture and its impact on their lives /

- Identify the effect of agriculture on society
and important historical events and how it will affect the future /

- Students will learn and practice leadership

- Students will look at the history of food and
fiber in the pas, present, and future / Individual shop skills
- Students will learn about agriculture and the

- Students will learn and practice communication
