Hello!

I am super excited to serve Wolfe City ISD as the district nurse! I am a homegrown Texan who was born in downtown Dallas. I grew up on the south side of the metroplex and graduated nursing school in 1995. Throughout the years I have served in a variety of nursing roles including Med-Surg, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Intensive Care, Infection Control, Employee Health, and Nursing Education. I have done school and camp nursing for the last few years and am excited to serve such a wonderful group of students.

In 1907, my great-grandfather drove a delivery wagon and worked in a cotton mill in Ladonia. It was on a farm somewhere in the vicinity that my grandfather was born, raised, and attended school until they moved to Lancaster around 1929. Therefore, working at Wolfe City has sentimental history to my family.

My husband and I have three children, Emily (15), Abbey (13), and Nathan (12). We live in Greenville with three dogs, a parrot, a coop full of chickens, and a bunch of fish. I love animals, nature, working in the yard, and reading a good book. I am looking forward to using my creativity to promote a safe and healthy learning environment for the students of Wolfe City Independent School District.

This my third year at Wolfe City ISD, I started in the life skills room and am now in the nurse's office at the Elementary / Middle School campuses. I also fill in wherever I am needed. I graduated from Ford High School in 2002. I plan to go back to school this fall for my teaching degree in early childhood.

Before I came to Wolfe City I worked in the optometry field. I have four amazing children and a wonderful husband. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy baking and crafting.
