Substitute Teaching

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher for Wolfe City ISD.

All Wolfe City ISD Substitutes must attend a mandatory training class.  Wolfe City ISD offers training each year in August and January at Wolfe City ISD Administration (additional sessions as needed)

The next available class for the school year will be:  January 2023 TBA

Substitute Application and HR forms will be distributed at the training.

To be eligible for substitute placement, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Undergo a Criminal History Background Check

Sub Applicants will need to bring the following items:

  • Drivers License

  • Social Security Card

  • Voided check (for direct deposit)

Sub Applicants who posse's a valid Texas Certification will need to bring the additional items:

  • Teacher Certificate

  • Transcripts

Substitute Pay scale is as follows:

Teacher Substitute (high school diploma - less than Bachelor's degree)- $80/day

Teacher Substitute (with 4-year degree+)- $90/day

Long Term subbing: $100/day
