Today, students in grades preK--8 will bring home an NCI Kit. In case of emergency, the card may be provided to law enforcement agencies to help reunite missing family members.

It's a Macy's Parade kind of day at WCES. After reading the book, Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy's Parade by Melissa Sweet, our 1st graders designed, created and then presented their own balloon floats!
Earlier today WCHS communicated that they were in a "SECURE" protocol. This was NOT a "LOCKDOWN" protocol. There was a situation near the HS, but not related to the HS. A "SECURE" protocol went into effect to ensure student safety.
WCISD uses a system known as SRP. Staff, subs, parents, & students were trained at the beginning of the year. Please refer to the link for info on the different protocols.
3rd grade students are learning about the layers of soil by enjoying “dirt pudding.” Yum!

Join WCES and American Heart Association in raising funds for healthy hearts! Each day during PE, we’ll have fun activities that will help us discover ways to take care of our hearts and brains while practicing kindness, gratitude and learning ways to de-stress.
