Wolfe City Varsity Wolves took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Celeste Lady Blue Devils Varsity on Friday. The game was tied at three with Wolfe City Varsity Wolves batting in the bottom of the sixth when Reagan Scott tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Makinna Sanders took the win for Wolfe City Varsity Wolves. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out nine.
Madilen Fronterhouse took the loss for Celeste Lady Blue Devils Varsity. The righthander went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking one.
Ava Steele went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Wolfe City Varsity Wolves in hits.
Jahdai Sanchez led Celeste Lady Blue Devils Varsity with two hits in four at bats.

Wolfe City Elementary School will be holding a family reading night March 28, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Den. Families are encouraged to dress in the PJ's and watch stories come to life with performances from our Pre-k through 2nd grade teachers! The book fair will be open to shop with your students, plus all students in attendance for the bedtime stories will earn 1 hour credit on their reading logs!
