WCHS honored their leader Mr. Poe for Principal Appreciation with a "Nacho Average Principal" lunch. We didn't get a picture of him, but the teachers sure had a nice time celebrating together! Check out those smiles ...and piles of nachos! Mr. Poe, we appreciate YOU!

Fire drill has completed. Students and staff were amazing and drill was executed very well.

Support your Wolfe City teams and cancer awareness in October! Pink Out games are Tuesday, October 10, for volleyball, and Friday, October 13, for football. On Friday, the pep rally theme is "Barbie"!

A small group of seniors took a tour of Special Products Manufacturing facility in Rockwall, invited there as a part of National Manufacturing Day. Students were able to see the process and all departments of manufacturing…. From sales, tech, engineering, welding, production, painting, quality control, shipping, and everything else in between. They even got to run some of the machinery! Very cool day indeed! Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas representatives were in Senior Success classes today to visit with our soon-to-be-grads about a program that can help them overcome any hurdle that stands between them and their college/career plans after high school. Seniors who want their contact information shared with the reps that they met today for this program can use the google form posted in their google classroom for the Class of 2024.

Emergency department nurse Linda Dutil spoke to WCHS students about making good choices along with the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and vaping. A special thank you to Ben E. Keith for sponsoring the presentation and encouraging students to make good choices.

Mrs. Carr's Chemistry classes had snowball fights today. Yes... you read that correctly! Students had to throw five elements at the other team (snowball style), collect as many, and use their random snowball collections to complete their exit tickets.

Wolfe city FFA Wednesday took 13 freshman to Greenhand camp. Students participated in leadership activities. Thursday the Wolfe City Ag department took 7 students to the CAT facility in Amarillo to train for their industry certification on big wheel loaders and skid steers.

WCHS students and staff were given the opportunity to join a widely known initiative called "See You at the Pole" where schools from all over participate in what is known as a "Global Day of Student Prayer." This morning, September 27 at 7:30 a.m., those who opted to pray aloud took turns praying over our campus, students, families, and lives. Students thanked God for blessings and prayed for His hand to remain in their lives as a whole.

WCHS's own Mrs. Smithey received a shipment of new calculators for her Algebra 1 students today. We thought we would deliver it in style.

WCHS seniors spent time this morning with a chance to visit over 80 college booths on one floor at the TAMUC Student Center where NETCAT sponsored a regional college fair.
