Dear Wolfe City ISD community I, Shawn Poe principal of WCHS, would like to extend my gratitude and most heart felt thanks for the last three years. You have allowed me the opportunity to serve and lead as the high school principal. Through this time I have been able to build many positive relationships with teachers, staff, students, and community members that will stay with me forever. I have also been able to use my time to help students and be a voice for them. I believe that God opens doors when he wants them open, just as he opened the door for me to serve the community of Wolfe City. So that everyone is aware, I have been offered an assistant superintendent role at another school district as the director of school operations and director of CATE programs. My official last day at Wolfe City ISD is scheduled for Thursday, February 15. Mrs. Joyce Sample will serve as the interim principal for the remainder of the school year. During this time the position will be posted and all proper processes will be put in place and utilized to find a replacement. Again, thank you to everyone in Wolfe City that brought me in as one of their own. I wish the best for the students, staff, teachers, and community of WC ISD. FAMILY-PRIDE-EXCELLENCE

Wolfe City Student Council hosted a volleyball tournament to benefit WCISD Clothes-4-Kids. Students and teachers faced off for several games with the boys' team overcoming the coaches' team by 1 point. The event yielded donations of $561.
Middle School Girls Basketball pictures that were scheduled to be taken today 2/7 during the period, will be taken tomorrow 2/8 during the period at the MS. We apologize for the inconvenience. Today the girls will be bussed to the HS track for track practice.

Each February, young people nationwide raise awareness about teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). This month long push focuses on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts. As the month progresses, more information will be posted. Please talk to your students about teen dating violence.
